One of my favorite things about sewing is free sewing patterns. When I first started sewing I couldn’t afford to buy fabric and patterns so I decided to stick with free pdf sewing patterns at first.
It helped me learn more about sewing, sewing patterns, and fitting. Trying different patterns helped me learn different sewing techniques because everyone likes to do processes in a different way.
I’ve pulled a list together of all my downloadable sewing patterns that I’ve created over the years. I’ll be honest that the more recent patterns are much better than my older patterns because I’ve learned and improved my pattern design skills.

What is a PDF sewing pattern?
A PDF pattern is a sewing pattern designed on the computer and organized so that it can be printed on several letter or A4 size pieces of paper.
I love using PDF sewing patterns because if the pattern gets ruined or if my children or I changed sizes, I can always print it again. It’ll never be destroyed since I have a digital version!
How do you use a PDF sewing pattern?
Open the PDF on a computer and click print. When printing make sure that the scaling is set to 100% or no scaling so that the pattern prints at the correct size.
Once the pattern is printed it can be taped together to get the full size. Then the pattern can be cut for each pattern piece size or individual sizes can be traced so that the pattern can be used again and again. Learn how to use PDF sewing patterns.

I absolutely love that you recognize that small moments of crafting can create so much joy and peace. I crochet and sew, and I find that I naturally choose rather simple things to create because they are meditative in the making and uplifting in the completing.
I cannot find the chapstick holder pattern. How do we get that? It says it was a free pattern.

Same issue. Signed up for your newsletter to get a free robe pattern and all the link does is take me back to the post with the robe instructions which says the pattern is at the bottom of the post. If you click on the link on the bottom of the post, it takes me back to sign up for the newsletter.

I signed up for a Grow account to access your free baby pattern PDFs but can find no link to access the account to get a couple of the free patterns. Your website and blog has lots of great information and pattern options but the popups are relentless and I cannot find out how to download a free PDF despite way too much time scrolling and scrolling and scrolling.
Help! Im sorry but I can’t download the dog bandanna patter for free. The only option I can see is the $3. I’m not opposed to paying for one but where does it ship from?
