What fabrics work well for winter sewing projects?

For cold weather sewing projects you will want fabrics that are warm and can hold in the heat. Some fabrics to use are fleece, wool, felt, sweaters, flannel, and canvas. You can also use cotton, but I usually add fusible fleece or batting to the cotton to give it an extra layer.

What is a PDF sewing pattern?

A PDF pattern is a sewing pattern designed on the computer and organized so that it can be printed on several letter or A4 size pieces of paper.

I love using PDF sewing patterns because if the pattern gets ruined or if my children or I changed sizes, I can always print it again. It’ll never be destroyed since I have a digital version!

How do you use a PDF sewing pattern?

Open the PDF on a computer and click print. When printing make sure that the scaling is set to 100% or no scaling so that the pattern prints at the correct size. Learn how to use PDF sewing patterns.

I received a nice winter scarf for Christmas. So I did some sewing and I turned it into a infinity scarf. And I absolutely love it. In a rush I just wrap it around my head and neck and it’s super warm!. plus I added the little pocket. Because I crave in the future to travel.

I’ve just started sewing again after 45+ year sewing silence. It’s quite intimidating and these are perfect for starting again.
