Sewing Room
What comes with the love of sewing is the sewing room or the sewing area. It's place to get out your machine and store your fabric and tools.
Some of you might have a dedicated sewing room that can hold all your supplies and fabric, a table to hold your sewing machine, and a cutting table for your sewing room.
Some of you might have a corner of a room where you have a desk that holds your machine, wall storage that holds your supplies, and a separate storage area for your fabric.
Some of you might store you sewing machine when it's not in use, but you use your dining table for sewing and cutting when the mood strikes.
I have moved a lot in the years so I have had to come up with a lot of different sewing room designs.
I've had rooms that were just for sewing, I've had a tiny desk area that were just for sewing, and I've had my sewing room combined with the playroom so that my children could be near me when I sewed.
Sometimes you can purchase sewing room furniture that will work perfectly in your space. Sometimes you have to work with a desk or table that you already have.
Sometimes you work with an Ikea sewing room. I've even sewed on two separate built in desks because I couldn't afford a desk at the time.
With all of these sewing room ideas you will be able to get inspiration and decide what's best for your sewing room or area and your sewing practice.
