I’ve been decorating for Valentine’s day, and it has been so fun! I love putting up the decorations and enjoying them all month. I’ve made several Valentine’s sewing projects, but I just keep making them!
I made a little heart pillow to decorate, and I created a free sewing pattern to go along with it. The sewing pattern has three different sizes, the one in this post is the smallest size, so you can make the size that works best for you.
The best part about this simple pattern is that it’s so versatile. You can do the front and back the same solid color and add a converstation heart phrase to the front
You can do a lovey Valentine print for the front and the back. You can piece pink and red fabrics together to make a heart pillow that uses up your fabric scraps!
You can even use this heart pillow to make a rice heating pack. Its the perfect shape!

What is a PDF sewing pattern?
A PDF pattern is a sewing pattern designed on the computer and organized so that it can be printed on several letter or A4 size pieces of paper.
I love using PDF sewing patterns because if the pattern gets ruined or if my children or I changed sizes, I can always print it again. It’ll never be destroyed since I have a digital version!
How do you use a PDF sewing pattern?
Open the PDF on a computer and click print. When printing make sure that the scaling is set to 100% or no scaling so that the pattern prints at the correct size.
Once the pattern is printed it can be taped together to get the full size. Then the pattern can be cut for each pattern piece size or individual sizes can be traced so that the pattern can be used again and again. Learn how to use PDF sewing patterns.
