Make spooky and funny t-shirts with these free Halloween SVG cut files. They are cute and scary and work for the whole family.
We love Halloween in our family. We love decorating, wearing costumes, and doing Halloween activities. We got excited this year with our new Halloween t-shirts with fun and funny sayings. These would look great on home decor, tote bags, and t-shirts.
I just love unique designs paired with puns. I decided to design some simple Halloween SVGs to offer you for free!
Do you love SVGs and cuf files? Try some of these:
What is an SVG file?
An SVG file is a scalable vector graphics or an image format that can be scaled large or small without losing any details. It’s a great way for sharing images that can be used in cutting machines since the image will stay perfect even if the size is changed.
Can these designs be used on Cricut, Silhouette, and Brother?
SVG files are great and can be used with any cutting machine as long as the machine’s program can have files added to it.
What is Iron-On Vinyl or HTV?
Iron-on vinyl or heat transfer vinyl is vinyl that has glue or adhesive on the back that is activated when heated. When the iron-on vinyl is heated the glue causes the iron-on vinyl to be fused to the t-shirt. The iron-on vinyl sits on top of the fabric.
The color of the iron-on vinyl is the color it will be after being heated. The color does not change.
What is Infusible Ink?
Infusible ink is ink that is transferred by heat. It’s essentially sublimation, but it’s now accessible to hobby crafters. When infusible ink is transferred the ink is infused into the item.
Infusible ink can be purchased as an infusible ink transfer sheet and as infusible ink pens. The colors of the infusible ink transfer sheet look pale before being heated, but they are very bright once heated and transferred.
I’m so excited to share these free Halloween SVGs, and I can’t wait to see what you make with these! All of these designs were cut out of Cricut Iron-on vinyl* with a Cricut Maker 3* and applied with an Easypress 3*.
Free Halloween SVG Cut Files
Each Halloween SVG design has a pun phrase and a shape of something Halloween themed. Choose the parts of the design that you want to use in the color that you want. Get the free Halloween SVG cut files at the end of the post behind the locked content box.
Free BOO! Ghost SVG Cut File
This BOO! ghost SVG says “BOO” over a ghost with the two big “O’s” as the ghosts eyes. I made this version for my son because it was his favorite of all the designs.
I used a glow in the dark iron on vinyl for the ghost and black for the word and eyes. The glowing ghost looks so good in the dark. The first time my son wore it and went into a dark room I heard him exclaim, “WOW!”
Free Happy Halloween SVG
This happy halloween SVG says “happy halloween”. The design has the cursive “happy” and block letters “halloween” with the “O” being a jack-o-lantern pumpkin. I added a big orange piece being the “halloween” to make it stand out more, but that does not come as one of the parts of the cut file. It can be added in your cutting machine’s software.
I made one for each of my daughters with just a difference in colors. I used an orange with scattered pumpkins for the “happy” and jack-o-lantern. I used a black, white, and orange striped iron-on vinyl for the “halloween”. I placed an orange shape behind the “halloween” to make it stand out more.
Free Trick or Treat Yourself SVG
The trick or treat yourself SVG is a fun Halloween cut file. It has “Trick” and “Treat” in large block letters. The “or” and “yourself” is a nice hand written cursive. There’s also some pieces of candy scattered in the design.
I used an Fall color plaid for the block letters, and I used black for the candy and cursive letters. I want to make another one as a wood sign with all black letters.
Free Momster and Dadcula SVG
The momster and dadcula SVGs are great design for parents. Use just one design or both. The momster design has sharp teeth around the word and dadcula has a castle silhouette and a flying bat.
For dadcula I used black for the word and for the bat. I used a gray for the castle silhouette. I looks great on the gray t-shirt.
For momster I used a red for the word in the mouth and white for the sharp mouth teeth.
