Learn all about the newly released Cricut Easypress 3. I compare the differences between the Easypress 3 and the Easypress 2.

The Cricut EasyPress was such a game changer for me when I started getting into SVG cut files and iron-on vinyl. Before the EasyPress every time I tried to make a t-shirt or tote bag, the iron-on vinyl ended up peeling off after only a couple of washes. It was so frustrating.

Now applying iron-on vinyl is easy, hence the name EasyPress, and I never have any problems. With the new Cricut EasyPress 3* there is a new feature that makes it even easier and enjoyable.

I started out with the Cricut EasyPress (1) that I just loved using. It made all my projects successful and perfect. The EasyPress 1 came in one size and didn’t get up to 400 degrees when it first came out.

Then the Cricut EasyPress 2* came out in three different sizes and the ability to go up to 400 degrees. I loved using the different sizes, and the higher temperature gave the ability to use Infusible Ink. (Read about EasyPress vs EasyPress 2)

One thing that has always made iron-on vinyl a little tricky is that there are so many different kinds of iron-on vinyl. You have to either memorize all the different temperatures and time lengths which change for each material, AND if you can do a cold peel or a warm peel.

Every time I would use iron-on vinyl I looked up the heat settings on Cricut because I never memorized all the information. And there’s was the chance that Cricut chould change their settings at some point. I always had my phone next to me while I was using my EasyPress.

The Cricut EasyPress 2* comes in three different sizes and can heat up to 400 degrees. You can use the buttons to change the temperature and the length of time. There’s also an on/off button and the button that starts the time.

The EasyPress is the best way for applying iron-on vinyl since the heat plate is flat, smooth, and the heat is perfectly even across the surface. Because there’s a new version of the EasyPress, all three sizes are on sale for a good price.

There’s also an on/off button and the button that starts the time. The icons on the buttons are updated a look slightly different than the EasyPress 2.

The biggest difference with the EasyPress 3 is that it has Bluetooth capability. You can download the Cricut Heat app (for both android or apple) to actually connect with your EasyPress 3.

When you sign into the Cricut Heat app, you start a project and choose what type of heat material you’ll be using and what object you are applying it to. It then sends all the correct settings to the EasyPress 3 for you!

You don’t have to push any buttons on the EasyPress because the app changes everything for you. It walks you through the whole project so that you do all the steps in the correct order. It even tells you at the end what type of peel (warm/cool) to do.

At first I thought this would be annoying to have to have a device with me, but once I tried it out I don’t think I can do it without. It made the project so fun and easy!
