How to Sew a Key Fob using Scrap Fabric

Do you ever keep scraps of fabric that you just love and you can’t get rid of? They just keep getting smaller and smaller as you find other uses for them.

Well, using your favorite scrap fabric to sew a key fob is such a fun sewing project. Not only is it a great way to use scrap fabric, sewing a key fob is a simple, quick, and easy sewing project. 

– Scrap quilting cotton – Scrap fusible fleece – Free key fob sewing pattern – Sewing tools

MATERIALS:

Cut out a piece of fabric that is 12 inches long and 3 inches tall. Cut out a piece of fusible fleece that is 12 inches long and 1.5 inches tall.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fuse the fusible fleece to the center of the back of the fabric.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fold the rectangle in half so that the long edges meet and press. Fold the long edges in to meet in the center and press. Fold all three folds so that the long edges are enclosed and press.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Sew along each long side 1/8 inch from the edge to close the folds, strengthen the fabric, and keep everything neat and tidy.
