How to Sew a Key Fob

Learn how to sew a key fob with a free sewing pattern. This beginner sewing project is a great handmade gift that uses scrap fabric.

Not only is it a great way to use scrap fabric, but sewing a key fob is a simple, quick, and easy sewing project. It’s really easy to make several at once, so it makes a great gift.

– Quilting cotton – Fusible fleece – Lobster claw clasp – Sewing tools

MATERIALS:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut out a piece of fabric that is 12 inches long and 3 inches tall. Cut out a piece of fusible fleece that is 12 inches long and 1.5 inches tall.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fuse the fusible fleece to the center of the back of the fabric.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fold the rectangle in half so that the long edges meet and press. Fold the long edges in to meet in the center and press. Fold all three folds so that the long edges are enclosed and press.

Sew along each long side 1/8 inch from the edge to close the folds, strengthen the fabric, and keep everything neat and tidy.
