Make the perfect fox ears with this Free Fox Ears Crochet Pattern. It’s the perfect size for a child size or toddler size hat.

When I decided to make my son a fox hat I looked around and found some free earflap hat patterns, but nothing specifically for a fox. I just worked on the hat part and when I came to the face and ears, I decided to make up a crochet pattern.

I’m really happy with how the ears turned out, so I thought I’d share the pattern. I am no crochet expert, so hopefully you can understand it! Check the comments for help!

It worked for my hoodie! Thx

@mary schroeder, there is an error in her pattern… when she says in the decreases to SC in the next 10 or 8 so on or so forth, those numbers she is typing are actually the total amount of stitches you should have in that row… for instance in the first decrease

you 2scdec the first two stitches and the last two stitches.. and sc between them.. the rows should The first 5 are 12 stitches total after you chain the initial 13 and sc from the second ch across… the 6th row you decrease to 10 st and then 10 sc across again, then you decrease to 8 and 8 sc across and so on and so forth until you get to a point.. hope that helps.

Also, to add to my previous comment, the picture only has what looks like 7 rows?

Initial chain is 13. Row 6 is wrong. 2sctog (4chains) + 10 sc + 2sctog(4 chains) = 18sc + 2 chains were used initially to start the first row. All total you would need to chain 20 which probably would be good to do donkey ears.

It didn't work for me, should it be chain 15 instead of 13?

Do you have the whole pattern

Super cute! Thanks for sharing 😀
