I love the summer time when its hot and you can play outside all day. When my babies were little they wore shorts constantly. My daughters even wore bloomers as shorts! I love bloomers paired with tunics, and I also love some basic shorts to go with basic tee shirts.
I usually make bloomers from t-shirts because the fabric needs to be pretty soft to gather up. The denim shorts were made from cut offs of pants. The white shorts were made from the hem of a white embroidered tunic.
To make this baby shorts sewing pattern you’ll need the hem area of pants, shorts, or a t-shirt, Sewing tools, 1/4″ elastic for the bloomers only, and 3/4″ elastic for the waist for both the shorts or the bloomers.
