I love watching Disney movies, and I often get inspired by the quotes. I almost always relate the quote to sewing, so I created a sewing SVG bundle full of sewing quotes inspired by Disney movie quotes.

It was so much fun to create each one of these. I’m going to put these sewing cut files on t-shirts, mugs, framed pictures, tote bags, and zipper pouches.

What is an SVG file?

An SVG file is a scalable vector graphics or an image format that can be scaled large or small without losing any details. It’s a great way for sharing images that can be used in cutting machines since the image will stay perfect even if the size is changed.

Can these designs be used on Cricut, Silhouette, and Brother?

SVG files are great and can be used with any cutting machine as long as the machine’s program can have files added to it.

What is Infusible Ink?

Infusible ink is ink that is transferred by heat. It’s essentially sublimation, but it’s now accessible to hobby crafters. When infusible ink is transferred the ink is infused into the item.

Infusible ink can be purchased as an infusible ink transfer sheet and as infusible ink pens. The colors of the infusible ink transfer sheet look pale before being heated, but they are very bright once heated and transferred.

What is Iron-On Vinyl or HTV?

Iron-on vinyl or heat transfer vinyl is vinyl that has glue or adhesive on the back that is activated when heated.

When the iron-on vinyl is heated the glue causes the iron-on vinyl to be fused to the t-shirt. The iron-on vinyl sits on top of the fabric.

The color of the iron-on vinyl is the color it will be after being heated. The color does not change.

Can you guess which movie each quote is from? Some are a little stretched, but I can often hear the original speaker saying the sewing quote in my head.

The movies that inspired the sewing sayings are The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Finding Nemo, Hercules, Bambi, Pocahontas, Frozen, Pinocchio, Toy Story, Brave, Mary Poppins, and Aladdin.

These design can be cut using a cutting machine like Cricut or Silhouette and put onto bags, tees, mugs, and fabric. It can also be cut from paper for scrapbooking and cardmaking

My favorite way to use the SVGs from this sewing bundle is to cut it out of heat transfer vinyl and then iron it onto a tee or a tote bag. Most of these could be applied to a canvas or paper to frame and hang in a sewing or craft room.

Some of these work great on a t-shirt or tote bag, and some of these work best framed and hung on the wall. I even want to cut one out of permanent vinyl and put it on my sewing machine!
