Welcome to a day of lots of adorable pictures of my two babies in handmade clothes. It’s day three of the Stitchwerx Blog Tour Day Three. I got to review the Ainsley & Aiden Baby Suite I, and I had lots of fun making some cute clothes. It comes with four patterns, the Bitty Beetle Bodysuit, the Comfy Caterpillar Easy Knit Pants, the Roly Poly Lined Pants, and the Tiddly Wink Toppers. You can enter to win the pack at the end of this post!
I really loved the Tiddly Wink Toppers. I made two girly hats in the 12 mos size for my daughter this winter. They are just a little too big for her right now.
Surprisingly, they fit Henry really well right now. He has a small head. Unfortunately, I used girly fabric so I’ll have to make a boyish one for Henry. He love the square top hat because he thought he was a cat.
I really liked how these hats are fully lined, so there’s no need to finish the edges.
I made some baby boys pants in size 3 mos with some suiting fabric for a friend. I altered them a little bit so it has a smaller cuff, and they turned out so cute. I made some sweatshirt knit pants in size 12 mos for my daughter this winter. I used some hand-me-downs so I kept the tuxedo stripe and original hem. They match the black and white heart hat perfectly. If you are sewing stripes this is how to match stripes.
I really wanted to make some clothes for my baby for right now, but she has so many clothes right now that I focused on the future. I used the bodysuit pattern to make a stripe and floral onesie for her. I love the combination of these stripes and floral! I can’t wait to see her running around in it. It matches the square top hat pretty well too!
I love these kiddos.
